At age 25 and of Asian descent, I grew up in a culture where everyone was hairless. If you had hair, any amount, you would have to get rid of it immediately. I never thought much about my hair until I was compared to other Asians. I was utterly embarrassed, as I was very hairy in comparison to the typical Asian. I didn’t want to go through waxing or shaving for the rest of my life. I visited a laser hair removal clinic, but could not afford the price rate. When I heard about the at home hair laser removal from Silk’n SensEpil, I was excited thinking of never having to shave or wax again. Imagine a lifetime of smooth hairless skin! Before participating, I did some research. The reviews were phenomenal that I had to try it! The cost was affordable and inside was a small cute handy device.
After 1st Treatment
Undergoing the first treatment, I got accustomed to the light flashes and sharp quick zaps. The process was fast, consisting of 45 minutes for my whole body. I didn't see much difference after the 1st treatment but I was still excited to continue the treatments.
After 2nd Treatment
Again, the hair reduction wasn’t noticeable, but I continue to increase the level energy gradually as I know that the higher the level of energy the quicker and better the results.
After 3rd Treatment
After 3rd treatment I noticed my hair growing slower. I shaved less frequently. I got excited that this machine was starting to work on me!!!
After 4th Treatment

After the fourth treatment I saw exciting results, patches of smooth skin. The freedom of unwanted hair was happening! After the 4th session I stopped at level 4. Depending on the sensitivity of the area, the use of energy level may be different. I was comfortable with level 4. After four sessions, my hair grew so slow and my arm also felt so much smoother than before. The photo was taken 3 days after shaving. I know my hair won’t be gone yet, so I was excited to continue my treatment process.
After 5th Treatment
I was estatic for my next treatment. I knew progress will continue. The hair roots shown in my previous treatment seem to be almost gone now. Which means that the root is gone and hair will stop growing in those areas. Smooth skin and bikinis here I come!

Summary
I am very grateful to be one of the selected participants in the study. I feel more confident with my body. No more worries when wearing t-shirts and shorts. I save tremendous amount of time from shaving 3 times a week and cleaning afterwards!
